Aerolase Laser

An Aerolase laser is an advanced aesthetic medical laser system that uses patented 650-microsecond technology. This technology delivers high-energy laser pulses in ultra-rapid bursts, which allows the skin to cool between pulses. This unique approach minimizes discomfort and the risk of side effects like burns or pigment changes, making it safe and effective for all skin types and tones.
The Aerolase laser is designed to target specific elements in skin tissues: melanin (pigment), hemoglobin (in blood vessels), and water. By precisely targeting these elements, it can address a wide range of skin concerns without damaging surrounding healthy tissue. It works by stimulating the body's natural healing response, including increased collagen and elastin production.
Some of the treatments that can be performed with an Aerolase laser include:

Skin Rejuvenation and Tightening: This is one of the primary uses. It stimulates collagen and elastin production, leading to improved skin texture, tone, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, and overall skin tightening. It can help diminish large pores and address skin laxity.

Acne Treatment (NeoClear): The laser targets acne-causing bacteria, reduces inflammation, and shrinks sebaceous glands to decrease oil production, which helps clear current breakouts and prevent future ones. It can also help reduce acne scars.

Hyperpigmentation and Sun Damage: It effectively treats various forms of hyperpigmentation, including age spots, sun spots, freckles, and melasma, by breaking up pigment patches.

Rosacea and Redness: The laser targets and coagulates unwanted blood vessels and suppresses inflammation that causes redness and visible capillaries associated with rosacea.

Vascular Lesions: This includes the treatment of spider veins, broken capillaries, angiomas, port-wine stains, and other vascular malformations.

Hair Removal: By targeting the pigment in hair follicles, the laser can destroy them and reduce unwanted hair growth.

Scar Revision and Striae (Stretch Marks): It can improve the appearance of scars and stretch marks by stimulating collagen production and promoting skin regeneration.

Psoriasis: The laser’s deep-penetrating energy can help suppress inflammation and coagulate feeder vessels associated with psoriasis plaques.

Nail Fungus (Onychomycosis): The laser can effectively destroy fungal material in infected nails.

Warts and Skin Tags: It can be used for the removal of these benign skin growths.

Ingrown Hairs (Pseudofolliculitis Barbae): The laser can address the inflammation and irritation caused by ingrown hairs.

Wound Healing: It can promote healing in certain wound types, such as decubitus ulcers.

Aerolase treatments are generally well-tolerated, with patients often experiencing only a mild warming sensation during the procedure. Sessions are typically quick, ranging from 15 minutes to an hour and a half depending on the treated area, and usually involve minimal to no downtime.
